Geriatric Certified Specialist
Mary was raised in Billings, MT and attended the University of Montana-Missoula where she earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Human Performance-Exercise Science and a minor of Gerontology. Mary also graduated a University Scholar through the Davidson Honors College. She attended Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and settled in Scottsdale for the following years working in an outpatient and inpatient hospital setting. She became certified in aquatic treatment, gained experience in teaching community aquatic classes for arthritic populations, NDT (Neurodevelopmental treatment) gait training, and assisted with balance and fall prevention community clinics. Mary moved back to Montana in September 2019.
Mary became a Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist in June 2021 and plans to use this knowledge base to grow programs and treatments that help our community stay active for life. She also has interest in vestibular treatment, manual therapy, treatment of orthopedic dysfunctions, and incorporating yoga into her clinical practice. Mary enjoys yoga, hiking and paddle boarding with her soon-to-be husband! She has combined her love of travel with other passions, and went to Guatemala for a physical therapy medical mission trip, and to the Dominican Republic to teach vacation bible school through her church.
